1. Introduce the purpose of Pete Mobile 2.0 2:46
Pete Mobile has been upgraded from a limited company phone app into a much more complete mobile version of Pete.
The goal is to let users do real work in the field without waiting to get back to the office.
This is an update to the existing app:
Same app
Same login
No second install needed
Availability:
iOS: available now
Android: coming next week
2. Log in and land on the mobile dashboard 5:08
Open the updated app and sign in with your normal email and password.
You’ll land on the same dashboard experience you know from the website.
From the dashboard, you can access:
Personal dashboard
Company dashboard
Tasks
Search
Other core areas of Pete
The mobile app is designed to keep the most-used tools close at hand.
3. Search properties and contacts quickly 5:56
Use the search bar to find properties by:
Property address
Seller name
Buyer name
Contact info
Search is flexible, so partial details still help.
Example use cases:
Search by street name if you don’t remember the full address
Search by the last four digits of a phone number
This makes it easy to find the right record while you’re on the go.
4. Review dashboard widgets, tasks, and team status 6:40
The dashboard includes useful widgets and KPI information.
You can now set goals on KPIs.
Task summaries show items like:
Overdue
Due today
Due this week
Open a task to:
View status
See files or comments
Edit details
Mark it complete
Team status is visible too:
Green = available/logged in
Red = on a call
Offline = not logged in
5. Use profile settings and calling preferences 8:35
In your profile, you can view and manage your account details.
You can set yourself unavailable if you want to stay logged in but not receive calls.
You can choose your default caller ID number.
Navigation preferences are supported, including map app selection.
The app also includes quick actions for:
Texting
Calling
AskPete (AI assistant feature coming soon)
6. Work from the Conversations inbox 10:09
Conversations are grouped into a unified inbox.
You can view:
Calls
Texts
Combined conversation history
The inbox can be filtered so you only see conversations related to you.
Search conversations by:
Name
Phone number
Property
Message content
Open a conversation to:
Listen to call recordings
Read transcriptions
Review Mentor Max scoring and notes
7. Manage properties directly from mobile 12:32
The Properties section gives you access to your leads, purchases, rehabs, and other phases.
You can search within a specific phase.
Open a property to see:
Gallery image
Phase and status
General info
Quick actions like call, text, Zillow, maps, refresh data, and skip trace
You can change status directly from the app.
General info fields are configurable on the website and carried into mobile.
8. Use property tabs to handle core work in the field 14:52
Property details are organized into tabs.
Overview includes:
Pin notes
Recent activity
Core data
Tasks
Insights
Rehab scope
You can create or edit rehab scopes from the app.
The People tab includes:
Contacts
Team roles
The Activity tab combines:
Messages
Calls
Notes
You can search across all activity and add new notes directly in the app.
9. Upload and manage files and photos from the field 17:30
The Files section lets you add property photos and other files directly from mobile.
Tap the plus button and choose a badge/category such as before pics.
You can:
Take new photos
Record video
Upload from your photo library
If you’re in a low-service area, files can still be captured and uploaded later when the device reconnects.
This removes the old workaround of emailing photos to yourself.
10. Create and manage tasks on mobile 19:16
The Tasks section is a dedicated task page.
You can add tasks from mobile and associate them with a property.
You can select a template when creating a task.
This makes it easier to capture follow-up work while you’re still in the field.
11. Use chat for property and team communication 19:44
Current chat support is project-based.
A newer version is coming with:
DMs
Channels
Property and team chat
The goal is to make chat feel more like a Slack-style workspace while keeping it tied to the property.
You can:
Open chats
Mute conversations you don’t need
Pin important messages
Start new chats
12. Make and receive calls from Android 21:10
Android will support in-app calling.
From Conversations, tap Call to place a call.
You can manage the call with controls like:
Mute
Hold
Keypad
Speaker/earpiece
Add to call
You can also create a task while on a call.
Incoming calls will show the contact name if available, or the phone number if not.
13. Use the app on iPad and work offline 24:26
Pete Mobile is also compatible with iPad.
The larger screen shows more information at once.
The same property details, files, and tabs are available.
Offline support is built in:
If you refresh at the start of the day while online, Pete downloads key property data.
That lets you access tasks and appointments even if you lose service at the property.
14. Know what still requires the website 26:26
Some configuration still lives on the website, including:
KPI dashboard setup
Certain advanced configuration options
The mobile app is meant to handle field work, not replace every admin setting.
E-signatures are available from Pete, so you can send contracts while on the go.
The app is designed to be useful for both field users and virtual users.
15. Understand the rollout and update process 27:48
This is a new version of the same app, not a separate app.
iPhone users update the existing app in the App Store.
Android users will get the update next week after Google approval.
Users will need to log in again after updating.
The team also shared a hidden Easter egg in the profile/version area.
16. Preview upcoming Pete features and trainings 32:45
Upcoming trainings will cover:
Workflow UI redesign
AskPete features
Communications inbox updates
Pete MCP server
Additional upcoming work includes:
Smartphone integration
Team and property chat training
New KPI dashboard catalog
Easier face templates and face taxes setup
The team emphasized that features are tested internally first for stability and support.
17. Get support and stay connected 35:34
If you need help, use the orange support icon in the app or email [email protected].
You can also record your screen in chat to show support exactly what happened.
Join the Facebook group for updates and feedback.
The team also recommended subscribing to the Pete podcast for REI tech interviews and product discussions.
